Flourish in your connection with yourself and others.

As a therapist I have the opportunity and privilege of hearing people’s stories and engaging with them while together we identify needed change and implement new ways of being in the world.

During my career I have also enjoyed a variety of positions as an educator and mental health provider. In addition to my Private Practice I am currently teaching at Saddleback College.

Outside of work I like to spend my time with family & friends, listening to audiobooks & podcasts, cooking, being outdoors, having interesting conversation, and a little time binge watching a show or two.

Experience

After completing my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology, I completed an internship which included 3000 hours of client contact, documentation, and additional training that lasted for 5 years. At the end of my internship I passed 3 exams which resulted in my Marriage and Family Therapist License (LMFT) and Professional Clinical Counselor License (LPCC).

The Board of Behavioral Sciences oversees my licenses and exists for the protection of clients and provides me with clear guidelines for acting ethically and lawfully with those receiving my counseling services. I am required by the BBS to complete continued education and renew my licenses every 2 years as a way for me to stay current on changing and new ideas and updated laws in mental health.

Approach

I believe therapy is a tool and vehicle for change for those who are willing to show up and do the work. This process can be insightful, uncomfortable, relieving, challenging, helpful, and more.

I have had the opportunity to learn, understand, and incorporate several different counseling theories and therapeutic tools into my practice, this is sometimes referred to as integrative therapy. I appreciate the variety of research, theories, skills, and approaches I choose to use in sessions with my clients and throughout the process of therapy.
